Abstract EN
This articletakles the issue of directing the grammarians towards the Koranic readings.
Along this paper, we discussed the grammarians’ ways of dealing with the verses and Koranic readings that did not confirm to the conventional grammatical rules.
It has been reported that these purviews and standpoints had been motivated by manifold reasons, including namely, the incomplete induction and the generalisation of the grammatical rules to all the forms, and discarding Koranic readings in relation to that.
In connection with what has been mentioned, it is important to outline the fact that linguists’ approaches to the Koranic readings had been varied and multifarious, namely in cases where the koranic texts do not fit their grammatical rules, and their non-affiliation with what they have taken from Arabs’ speech.
Among the grammarians’ standpoints in dealing with Konic verses that oppose their rules , we mention: judging the process of reading from the perspective of melody, the unacceptability of those readings, questioning the reader or the reading, and namely deviating from the intended meaning of the verses examined.
In parallel with this, we explained the concept of grammatical acceptability and its inadequacy in interpreting some Koranic readings that are not available in Koran itself.
We do not accuse the grammarians of allowing some kinds of readings that are no acceptable in language.
Additionally, those grammarians had been attached to the conventional patterns of reading, including the processes of acceptability they permitted in relation to studying Koran for the sake of teaching.
At the end of the paper, we underscored the main differences between the approach of argumentation by means of Koranic readings, the counterarguments in relation to that, and the significance of this difference in demarcating between the two perspectives.
In the same vein, we launched an analogy between those who support the approach of arguing in relation to the Koranic readings, and those grammarians who confine the process of reading to their linguistic rules.
It become obvious that the grammarians, if they gave the Arabic dialects their share from studies , by analysing each dialect fully, would make them bypass some interpretations that made them misunderstand the linguistic phenomenon.
And the best ways to study the language is to extract it from its’ dialect .
However, attributing this linguistic phenomenon to a particular dialect, and systematically to a given tribe, would be understood as discrimination and intolerance .
Undoubtedly, the pioneer linguistic studies bottomed on Koran with its various readings, and the Hadith.
Moreover, the study of grammar in relation to those texts is considered as process of language development.
The significance of that process is displayed in the precision and the credibility of the Koranic text.
