Abstract EN

It is easier to work on developing the spirit of citizenship among children through what we say, what we draw, and what we write for them.

Although children's literature does not grab adequate attention by psychologists, it remains widely open for improving behaviors that promote and strengthen, later, the spirit of citizenship and reinforce the sense of belonging to the homeland to the child.

In fact, we find a lot of stories that are written and directed for the children; however, we may inquire whether their contents aim at what they are written for, or they are merely just stories which do not consider citizenship and concepts to which they relate, and; thus, no need to use them only for entertainment.

Accordingly, we try to select randomly a sample of children's stories and analyze through the psychological aspects that reveal whether there are indications that the story tells of citizenship or not.
