Based on the historical, religious, and scientific status of Jerusalem, the current study aims at exploring the image of Jerusalem in the Andalusian travel literature, namely in Khalid Ibn IsaBalawitravelentitled: Taj al-mafriq fitaḥliyatulamaʼ al- Mashri.
The study underlines details of the trip in terms of information, news, events, and description of religious places.
The study also points out to features of Balawi's trip, mainly the style and the descriptive mechanisms which were followed to show the beauty of Jerusalem.
