Abstract EN
The research aims at investigating the effect of (PLAN) strategy in acquiring the historical concept of the fourth literary class students and developing the historical thinking .
In order to achieve these aims, the researcher has set the following two null hypotheses : 1.
There are no statistically significant differences at level (0.05) between the mean of experimental group scores who are taught by plan strategy and the mean of the control group scores who are taught by conventional method in acquiring the historical concept .
2 There are no statistically significant differences at level (0.05) between the mean of experimental group scores who are taught by plan strategy and the mean of the control group scores who are taught by conventional method in historical thinking The research tools are represented with objective test that is of (54) test items constructed by the researcher for measuring the acquiring of the historical concepts (knowing, recognition and generalizing), with three items for each items for each concept.
The second tool is the historical thinking which is adopted from (Aljanaby, 2016).
The psychometric characteristics have been assured and then exposed to the two groups after 12 weeks of studying.
The T-test of two independent samples.
The results show that: the experimental group student excels on the control group students in both historical concept and historical thinking Accordingly, the researcher has set forward several recommendations and suggestions.
