Abstract EN

The importance of implementing of the Total Quality Management (TQM) in education lies in its urgent necessity to keep abreast of the 21st century changes due to globalization and its aftermath.

Especially, the technological revolution which opened the geographical borders between the countries, and made the world a single village .

That is added several challenges to the Algerain University which bear The responsibility for the advancement and sophistication of the society, sa well as, the seeking to occupy a prestigious position in the ranks of developed countries.

In order to performe its functions to the fullest tended it adopted the TQM system as an urgent solution.

In this context, the article came to enrich and spot the light on the concept of Overall quality in higher education , and to identify the most important endeavors taken by the Algerian University to adopt this philosophy.
