This study aims to estimate the spending size of Algerian households on private lessons in the last years of the three educational levels.

The methodology of the study consists in estimating unit cost of private lessons based on a sample of pupils at the three educational levels, and then conducting projections for the total spending of the Algerian households using scenarios approach.

The main findings of the study are mainly: Algerian households have spent more than 5.35 billion dinars on private lessons done by their children who were preparing for Baccalaureate exam.
