Abstract EN

In this age where all cultural boundaries disappeared between the world’s nations, and in the light of the extensive technological and scientific revolution , media and published books play an important role in developing the cultural awareness of the Arab child, besides, his religious and social background.

For all these reasons, one must determine what is offered/broadcasted to children from the other cultures through media, such as, TV, videogames or even via the internet, as well as all the universal written stories that are translated into Arabic and presented to our innocent kids, willing to educate them and inform them about the other’s treasures .However, reading/publishing such foreign translated stories to our children are not free from many risks and dangerous caveats that of ten entail some bad consequences if they do not conform wi thour values and identity.

In this paper, I will discuss the problematic of the following issues: a real invitation to edit constructive stories to our children; the negative effects of the foreign stories translated into Arabic.

I will also try to answer the following questions: How can we protect children in Algeria, as well as the Arab and Islamic world, from the threat of these translated stories? What is the role of the family in the protection of children? What is the role of the professionals in writing stories for children? And finally, whitish role of the censorship?
