Abstract EN

The current study aims to determining the relationship between social adjustment and both forgiveness, and self-confidence for sample of the single mothers .and the relationship between both the self-confidence.

The study sample consists of (56) of divorced and widowed , Divided into (28) of the widows (28) of the divorced women.

The sample was selected from the social security program of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, provided that the mother is a sponsor of at least one child.

The methodology was used in the sample survey method The researched prepared social adjustment scale, forgiveness scale and self-confidence scale.

The Results showed that There is a positive relational between the adjustment and forgiveness, and There is a positive relational between the adjustment and self-confidence.

The results were also found There are differences between divorced women and widows in social adjustment, in favor of widows, and there are differences between divorced women and widows in forgiveness, in favor of widow's, also there are differences between divorced women and widows in self-confidence, in favor of widow’s.

The current study recommends: Guidance programs to develop self-confidence of the single mother.

Guidance programs for the development of toleranc for the single mother, Mitigation programs to reduce the poor compatibility of the single mother, Media awareness of the role of the single mother and the extent of her suffering.
