This paper is an attempt to expose UAE and Malaysia strategies of economic diversification for extracting some lessons for Algeria.
Algeria is a high middle income country that suffer from`resource curse`.
Although Algerian government has adapted several diversification strategies, it failed in diversifying its source of national income.
UAE and Malaysia are from resource-rich developing countries which has followed successful models of diversification strategies that Algeria should learn from.
