Abstract EN

The Palm tree has a great and distinguished presence in the collective memory, and particularly in Arabic culture.

Historically we can find it in the Holy Books, Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) Hadiths, and in Arabic literature and poetry.

However, the palm tree has not only this significance, but also it became a symbol that referred to the country the loved woman, and even human justice causes.

This study attempts to seize the most important changes in the palm tree symbolization in the Arabic culture.
