Abstract EN

This study aimed to state the extent of the impact of following the total quality management concept on the performance of health service in the Algerian hospitals, through clarifying the extent of the impact of the following factors: The senior management’s belief and commitment to implement the total quality management concept, the empowerment, participation and motivation of employees, the dominant organizational culture, and the continuous improvement in the quality of health service in a public hospital which is Mohammed Boudiaf Hospital in MEDEA To conduct this study, a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool and distributed to hospital workers, and another questionnaire was distributed to patients to find out their assessment of health service quality.

The results have shown that most of these approach principles are not applied and the health services provided are with low quality, and this is from the patients and the hospital workers’ point of view.
