This study aims to identify the developmental role of tourism investment in Algeria, through touched upon the reality of tourism investment in Algeria, and its impact on each of the GDP and balance of payments and the level of employment during the period (2005-2014), This study is based on descriptive and analytical approach, through the various concepts related to tourism investment touched, the display of the reality of tourism investment in Algeria, and developmental effects on some of the economic indicators,, the study found twice as tourism investment's contribution to the gross domestic product, as and tourism investment negatively affecting the balance of the balance of payments, while tourism investment provides a significant number of jobs during the study period, The study recommended the need to smooth out procedures and laws related to tourism investment, to provide facilities for private investors, and working to promote and strengthen the partnership between the public sector and the private sector in the field of tourism, in addition to creation of funds and specialized banks to finance tourism projects, and improve the infrastructure and the climate of tourism investment to attract foreign investment and the development of the tourism sector.
