This study aims to define the role of rural tourism in the economic development; France is taked as a successful model to do this study.
The study appears that the rural areas represent around 15 percent of the total area of France, also it attracts nearly 29.3% of total tourist in 2014, contributed to employ nearly 17444 workers (2014), and the consumption tourism arrived at 9.6 billion Euros
