Abstract EN

This study aims to reveal the differences in degree of psychological stress that facing the mothers of children with cancer in Riyadh city through treatment states through which the children of cancer passed (diagnosis, gaining stability, settlement and fixation, conservation), in addition to studying the stress in the light of some demographic variables which are as the following: mother’s age, mother’s work, marital status of the mother, mother’s economical level.

And in order to fulfill the research objectives the researcher used the initial data form and the scale of psychological stress for mothers of children with blood cancer prepared by (Alenzi, 2010), where the comparative descriptive methodology has been used on a sample of (92) from mothers of cancer children, the research revealed the following results: 1.

No statistical significance difference in the degree of psychological stress of mothers of cancer children in Riyadh city attributed to variable of treatment stages (diagnosis, gaining stability, settlement and fixation, conversation).

No statistical significance differences in the degree of psychological stress of mothers of cancer children in Riyadh city attributed to variable (mother’s age).3.

There are statistical significance differences at level of 0.05 in the degree of psychological stress of mothers of cancer children in Riyadh city attributed to variable attributed to (mother’s education) in favor of the literate mothers.

There are statistical significance differences in the degree of psychological stress of women of cancer children in Riyadh city attributed to the variable of (economical level) at level of0.05 in favor of income level (other) which is the category that its income is less than SR.
