Abstract EN
Earth is indeed our mother.
The Lord Allah created man (Adam) from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.
Thus human beings are creatures born of the elements of which Earth is composed: The same elements that make up plants, the other animals, the minerals, the natural chemicals and compounds of this heavenly body.
What‘s more, Earth is the only place we can live on; therefore, we must treat it well, so that it remains a clean place, perfect for living, for ourselves and our children.
Such awareness has its root since the dawn of history.
But what makes it an urgent need not only a theory; it is the climate change and Global warming.
Scientists, researchers, experts and ordinary people try to do something to stop this crisis.
Literature has its position among all of them.
This paper tries to make chronological survey on how such awareness started and how does it develop and become mature.
It also tries to prove how literature could make great changes concerning that issue.
