The fantasticnovel is at the highest of its fame, this has incited theorists to define the concept.
In fact, there is a debateover the classification of the fantastic novel in that some specials do not recognize it as an independent genre.
However, for some others, the fantastic novel has its own features and can be considered as a sub-genre of literary fiction.
Throughout this article, we will attempt to highlight some elements that make of the fantastic novel an autonomous category.
Such type of novel shares, with the other genres, the writing structures, but has its own themes and writing techniques.
To elicit the case, we will refer to theorists such as Todorov and Roger Gallois in an attempt to define the concept and the tools used in the fantastic literature.
Moreover, we will rely on the features of thefantastic novel to account for this classification controversy.

Le roman fantastique connait un succès sans pareil, ce qui incite les théoriciens de la littérature à vouloir définir le concept.
en réalité, il y a divergence sur la classification du roman fantastique, certains spécialistes ne le reconnaissent pas en tant que genre indépendant.
pour d’autres, le roman fantastique possède ces propres caractéristiques, et peut être considéré comme un sous genre de la fiction.
ceci dit, nous allons essayer, à travers cet article de mettre en évidence quelques éléments qui font du roman fantastique une catégorie autonome.
ce type de roman, pour ainsi dire, partage avec les autres genres les structures d’écritures, mais il a sa propre thématique et des caractères techniques d’écriture qui lui sont propres.
a ce titre, nous ferons référence aux travaux de théoriciens tels que todorov et roger gallois, à titre illustratif, pour tenter de définir les concepts et les outils qui sont ceux de la littérature fantastique.
s’agit-il d’un genre à part entière ? les propriétés relatives au roman fantastique nous permettront de mieux cerner la question.
