This study seeks to highlight the reality of linguistics in contemporary Arab culture; proceeding from tracing the reasons that hinder the use of the Arab linguistic Dictionary among its readers, with surrounding all the factors behind this phenomenon, whether it is internal factors related to linguistics as modern science, or the different methods to put the linguistic term, or external factors related to the researcher in this field of knowledge disparate sources, and multidisciplinary, and reviewing all the solutions provided by the specialists to overcome these obstacles methodology, with suggest some solutions in order to make functional linguistic dictionary responds to the requirements of the Arab reader.
