Any revolutionary act needs a framework of values that takes care of it and gives it credibility and a referent of revolutionary stability in the face of historical evolution which is characterized by a form of continuity but also by rupture which can separate the revolution-as a historical event limited in time-from its value system which has evolved within it, and the glorious revolution in Algeria may have been the center of revolutions against the colonialist powers and thus carries with it burden of all the colonized nations with its hopes and ambitions.

But how did the cinema represent the Algerian revolution? And has it succeeded in giving its true dimension? We will try through this article to identify the most important value systems that accompany the cinematographic narrative of the Algerian revolution with the historical development and the different periods of history where this narrative was created through a Semiological reading of two films produced in spaced historical periods
