Abstract EN
The study aims to estimate the determinants of demand for Algeria's total imports during the period: 1990-2013, according to a standard model.
We analyzedthe time series of the model’s variables, using multiple tests, and the results of these have revealed that investment and consumption are among the explanatory and determining variables for imports in Algeria during the period of this study under the economic openness, and that the Algerian imports are affected by oil prices in the global markets and the inflation rates in developed countries
