Collective housing, usually situated on the outskirts of cities, is still the living environment of millions of people.

In truth, it represents a highly influential element on the image reflected by the cities, be it positive or negative.

Quality of life, cleanness, appropriation, security, and comfort are all exterior components of these cities and surely stand for the different aspects of urban life, as well as its identity.

For this very reason – and also for a gradual diminishing of housing conceptions’ and constructions’ shortcomings, improving the inhabitants’ quality of life, and making the image reflected by the cities more attractive – we target a deep transformation of the outside that we definitely consider as a serious stakes of the future urban society.

Revitalization has been a new policy and concept during the present decade and it could be regarded as a multidisciplinary solution, which combines vision, participation, adaptation, global integration, and consultation.

The topic of the present research work is the revitalization of the outside that aims at reviving the exterior living space.

Indeed, it is a real diagnosis that deals with what already exists and aims at enhancing/developing it in order to reach permanent and long-lasting solutions.

This durability seeks to renew the domestic use and to regard each individual inhabitant as a functioning factor and actor.

It will, therefore, take into consideration the needs and the aspirations of the marginalized inhabitant whose significant role in the good functioning of the revitalization process relies in ensuring a pleasant living environment, a suitable space, and an ideal group life
