This study investigates the relative impact of monetary policy and fiscal policy on economic growth in Algeria from 1970 to 2014, in order to achieve the objective, we use the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) a method to estimate the monetary and fiscal policy coefficients for the lone run and the short run.
We found that fiscal policy has negative and a significant impact on economic growthin the long run.
However, in th short run the impact is still significant but positive.
As for the monetary policy, and contrary to the fiscal policy, the impact is negative and significant in the short run, in th long run the impact is still significant but positive.
