Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the nature of the current changes taking place in some cognitive functions in patients with bipolar affective disorder and compared between the patients sample and the normal sample.

Approach and actions: We have applied research on a sample of patients (30) of the male in exchange for a sample of normal (30) male and takes into account equality of the two samples of old age (18-50 years) and educational and economic level.

The application test Wechsler-Bellevue intelligence for adults and to measure verbal IQ, total IQ and practical IQ to measure the functions of attention and memory on the two samples.

The Results: Have shown patients a decrease in the performance of a set of bipolar affective disorder on the performance of the control group in verbal IQ, practical IQ, total IQ, attention and memory tests and the results have been discussed in the light of the theoretical framework of the research and applied research.
