Abstract EN

Background and Objective: The correction of nasal deformity as part of cleft lip nose deformity forms a significant challenge to the reconstructive surgeon.

Good understanding of the anatomical abnormalities is am essential part in this correction which differs from one case to another.

These differences lead to different ways of reconstruction.

Patients having this deformity suffer from social and psycological stress.

Therefore good protocol for management of this deformity would lead to good results and that would be the aim of this correction.

Methods & Materials: 10 patients diagnosed with unilateral cleft lip nose deformity, were admitted to Almuassat University Hospital Plastic surgery Unit between 2011 -2013.

All patients were assessed from aesthetic and functional points pre and post-surgery.

Results: One operation was performed on each patient.

Results were good aesthetically and functionally.

Conclusion: Using a good protocol which depends on the present anatomical deformity in each patient, and good management always lead to good results.
