Abstract EN

This study aims to show and illustrate the relationship between sports and politics.

In some regimes of the Third World, the people deal with the sport as it is just championship.

In the most of the governments of developed nations deal with the sport as an instrument to implement their political goals.

While in the most political regimes in the Arab countries deal with the sport to serve their political goals.

This study is based on the premise that most of the Arab political regimes look for national and international sports competitions as a means to show the advantages and the legitimacy of the political system in their respective countries.

From this point of view, they promote the sports’ unions and Olympic committees that sponsor teams, and sporting events, and give the task of supervising and presiding over the people who wield political and moral influence, or to people who are close to the regime in order to achieve the goals it seeks to accomplish, and consistent with the hobbies and desires of the people
