Abstract EN

This researcher aimed at identifying:- 1- Self Discrepancy for junior high and University students 2- The differences in the Self Discrepancy for junior high and University students according to sex variable ( male – female ) and level (junior high - University).

To achieve that the researcher used Higgins, 1987 scale for Self Discrepancy, and before achieved for psychometrics from validity and reliability This test has been applied the sample of the study which is ( 400 ) male and female .

The results have appeared that Self Discrepancies common for junior high and University students is Actual versus ought and junior high students have more Actual versus ought ,and the female have more Actual versus ought, In the light of these results the research has put a number of recommendations and suggestions forwards.
