Abstract EN
The architectural project is built on the database of various natures (site, climate, environment, landscapes, demo-economic-social data etc.).
When the project aims at a rehabilitation and the object is a historic center, whose base is also classified as a natural site, the archaeological, landscape, historical and human aspects cover important dimensions.
The reading of the physical form and the interactions between the different components of the fabric then becomes predominant.
The application of the morphological approach in the pilot project of the Constantine safeguarded sector underway (launched in 2008), allowed the release of the first benchmarks of the project, which will be crossed with other historical, technical, archaeological, archival and administrative, for the design and programming of tests of an intervention meeting the requirements of the urban project.
This method allowed the project to be appropriately anchored in its context and hence adopted by the public [note 1], but it also facilitated an understanding of the city's manufacturing phenomena and provided the preliminary clues to the design.

Le projet architectural se construit à la base de données de natures diverses (site, climat, environnement, paysages, données démo-économico- sociales etc.).
Quand le projet a pour finalité une réhabilitation et l’objet est un centre historique, dont l’assiette est de surcroit classé site naturel, l’aspect archéologique, paysager, historique et humain recouvrent des dimensions importantes.
La lecture de la forme physique et des interactions entre les différentes composantes du tissu, devient alors prépondérante.
L’application de la démarche morphologique dans le projet pilote du secteur sauvegardé de Constantine en cours ( lancé en 2008 ), a permis le dégagement des premiers repères du projet, qui seront croisés avec d’autres indices historiques, techniques, archéologiques, archivistiques et administratifs, pour la conception et la programmation des épreuves d’une intervention répondant aux exigences du projet urbain.
La dite méthode a permis l’ancrage convenable du projet à son contexte d’où son adoption par le public [note 1], mais elle a facilité en plus la compréhension des phénomènes de fabrication de la ville et fourni les indices préliminaires de la conception du projet de sa réhabilitation et mise en valeur.
