Abstract EN

This study aims to assess the performance of Algerian banking sector during the period (2009-2015).

The study relied on analyzing the evolution of various financial indicators and financial solidity.

The study concluded that the performance of Algerian banking sector improved considerably, but it did not rise to the level of international standards in banking management.

Despite the growth of the volume of the collected savings, the good levels for both capital adequacy and profitability, however the weakness of banking coverage, the size of unproductive loan, in addition to an excessive structural cash flow at the level of banks, requiring further banking reforms in order to improve the level of the performance of the banking sector
