Abstract EN

The present paper aims to define the actuality of sustainable energy strategies adopted in Algeria, by Highlighting the policies and propositions accredited in both fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency, while highlighting their effectiveness in achieving sustainability.

The most important results which study reaches that, The Algerian government devoted substantial effort to promoting the sustainability of the energy sector, where it adopted an extensive list of legislative, institutional, financing and incentive policies and procedures to achieve the desired objectives, which contributed to realize a wide range of immediate and future gains at various economic, social and environmental levels, which undoubtedly supports efforts to achieve sustainable development.
