Abstract EN

Selection philosophy in the Algerian educational system follows centralization traditions, although the underwent reforms, the colonial heritage is still espoused.

the aim of this research is to suggest some non-traditional alternatives and non-traditional analysis method of Brian Holmes, Karl popper’s dichotomy (change or no change) and max weber’ ideal types.

some main findings are to suggest some hypothetical solutions, and comparative ones to British educational system, its consistency to mindset of Algerian society, the nature of its establishments, its legitimation in realizing the ideal situation for individuals and knowledge.
