Professional development in EFL education : vision future

Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to prepare a new model of professional development for faculty in Iraqi higher education especially in the colleges of education; the researcher have used the descriptive analytically study to gain access to this model.

the researcher indicates modern transitions in EFL education, effects on the educational systems, the procedures to be taken for these changes, and using them in the development of pedagogic competencies that can adapt with these changes.

also, the researcher presented some recommendation for the professional development in EFL education.
