Abstract EN

The French colonization tried to strip the Algerian people of all its nationam components using varions means of intellectual and military repression.

But, it was foaught by the pioneers of the reform mevement who had a strong will to inculcate the values of citizenship in people by issuing several Algerian national newspapers.

The present paper emphasises the importance of the watten press during colonization period ; particularly, the press of the leading journalist Hadj Ibrahim Abou El yakzan thus, we deal with the various headlines of writings issued at the time focussing on their style and objectives ; especially, those concerned with the preserving of the constituents of the Algerian people
