Abstract EN

The digital economy is a new global trend that countries and societies seek to achieve by taking advantage of the data of the times, the transition from the economy of industries to the information economy, and from the export of goods to the export of information.

And its adoption is no longer optional, but has become a necessity dictated by the conditions and developments in the global economy.

On this basis, Algeria, like other countries, has adopted a series of reforms in the field of communications technology and information networks, which in turn feed the requirements of this new economy, as well as to work to narrow the digital divide between it and neighboring countries.

This study aims at diagnosing the reality of ICTs in Algeria for the period 2010-2017 and the development of this sector by identifying the most important ICT indicators in Algeria such as indicators of infrastructure, foreign trade indicators and development indicators for this sector in order to clarify the reasons for their delay in emerging as an environment.

Favorable to the digital economy, and to try to explore the prospects of these new technologies in Algeria
