Abstract EN

Perhaps the hadith of Prophet Muhammad (seek knowledge, even in China) can be considered as one of the first references to China, in the Arab heritage.

Moreover there are other references to the links of Arabs to China or their clashes, as reported by some historical sources and classified by Ibn Khaldun as one of (the inadequate news).

In addition, there are many signs of Arab contact with the Chinese in ancient times in terms of trade, science, acculturation...etc.

In this research we tried to investigate the stereotypes of Arabs about Chinese.

In the first part, there's an introduction to the subject and its theoretical and methodological procedures, an introduction to the links and relations between Arabs and China back to history, the most important sources and references that referred to it.

Meanwhile there some glance to Chinese culture and society, the concept of stereotypes and context use.

Part two deals with the fieldwork study and its methodological procedures, and the results of the research and its discussion
