Abstract EN

Magrit is the Islamic name of Madrid City the capital of Spain .

It was founded by the Muslims during the reign of prince Mohammed Bin Abdul A1 Rahman the Middil ( 238-273 A.H / 825-886 A.

D ) in the year ( 246 A.H / 860 A.D ) to be an advanced defensive line to the city of Toledo .

In its early beginning , it was a fortress for the fighters, after that life had evolved there because of its location that was so important for city .

The Islamic rule for the city lasted more than two centuries when it eventually fell to the Christians in about 467 A.

The first of which is devoted to the geography of the historic city , it talks about the name Magrit, its location and most prominent natural aspects .

We , in the second section , dealt with the political history of Magrit and the events its went through during the different eras of the fifth Hijri century / eleventh A.D century .

Section three displays the some aspects of civilization in the city , like the most important Islamic monuments there and the most important figures • who contributed to the fields of knowledge
