Since childhood is the future mirror of society, and for a society to build a human being, it must give the child and his world the necessary importance to build the future.

And because literature is a source of knowledge and a means to achieve the process of a right construction of the human being in general, and the child in particular, and because the story summarizes the life to this child in a “real practical form” and brings it closer to his perception, the decision was to study a number of diverse children's stories published in the last 10 years in Lebanon, to be the focus of reading narrative semantics in human models and deep semantic constructs, as the range of the content compatibility with the child’s vision of the world, and its ability to qualify him to connect properly with others, that builds man, and prepare him to be the builder of the future.

It was found, through this sample, the axis of this study, that this type of literature suffers from the tyranny of the educational character preaching, where the adult is assigned to the main roles.

As well as the leanness of the narrative presentation, and its simplicity and tendency to tradition, initiation, idealistic and static ...

and its confinement in a narrow temporal and spatial frame, adhering to the familiar, and its concentration in the crucible of one desire, and the one narrative program ...

which leads to diminishing the imagination of the child and keeping him away from the world of suspense, expectation, motivation and creativity ...

and therefore invites us to reconsider some of the literary models presented to our children and seek a true developmental literature
