The article aims to highlight the role played by the European Union in confronting illegal immigration as a threat to all countries.

This study is based on a review of the overall strategies developed by the European Union; As well as all the conventions adopted by it.

The study has identified two key elements that limit clandestine migration: the security dimension and the political dimension of illegal immigration control; they relate to a set of roles for some agencies in the security framework as well as EU conventions; Then to combat this phenomenon through partnership with the South; This threat requires constructive actions and strategies to improve the effectiveness of the European Union in its fight against them.
