Abstract EN

Career development is one of the most important activities of human resources management and is mainly concerned with achieving compatibility and conformity between individuals and the jobs they occupy.

Which is a joint responsibility between them and the institution and there is a role for each of them; the individual approach focuses on the role of the individuals themselves to plan their career to meet their needs and aspirations.

And it is the responsibility of the institution to manage the career path, it is planning the movements of employees and the preparation of career paths for them and develops their abilities and skills to create compatibility between their desires and career aspirations and between the current and future needs of the institution through human resources management policies.

This paper aims to identify the development of the career path and provide a model for the development of the career path, which includes: the individual approach to career planning and the organizational approach, as well as the identification of the problem of functional stalemate.

Then management and treatment of the career path start with a good identification of the needs of the institution from individuals to the retirement referral and dispensing with the inappropriate ones.
