Abstract EN
The aim of this study is to highlight the relationship between emotional intelligence and the five factors of the personality (Big five) from the point of view of a sample of students at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences-University of Constantine-02.
The researchers adopted the descriptive approach using the questionnaire as a tool, using Bar-On and James Barker Emotional Quotient Inventory, includes (60) items and the Big Five Questionnaire of Badr-Elansary, includes (60) items.
The sample contains (58) students at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at Constantine02 University.
The study concluded that there is a statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and the Big Five dimensions: Neuroticism, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness.
Based on these findings, the researchers submitted a set of suggestions and recommendations.
