Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the knowledge bases with a focus on their use for Incident management; A case stud;y was conducted to identify the Incident management of information security in the deanship of information technology at King Abdulaziz University (KAU).

The study found that the deanship does not use knowledge base for incident management, and replaces it with Excel files stored in folders.

The stud;y recommended the use of the Incident Management System (IMS), includes a knowledge base in the deanship.

It should be chosen in accordance with the of the deanship needs and requirements, and should also be compatible with the other systems of KAU.
