Study aims, Discovering the relationship between working memory capacity of the primary school students (fourth, fifth and sixth grades) and listening skill in English as a foreign language, in addition to detect a difference of these two variables depending on the gender.

The study procedures, the study sample included 60 students (24 male , 36 female) of a primary school students in Sohag, where ages ranged among the participants (10-12) in a mean (10.6).

It was the use of working memory tests measuring prepared Reda Abu Sreea and Ahmed Hassan Ashour, testing to measure working memory and a test to determine the level of language proficiency of the English language prepared by the researcher.

In addition to a test to measure the English listening skill, also prepared by the researcher .

Results of the study, the study yielded results effect that there is a direct correlation between working memory capacity on one side and listening skills in English with sample student, it turns out that there were no statistically significant differences in the gender variable in the working memory capacity and listening skill of the English language .
