Abstract EN

The study dealt with the political movement in Gaza Strip (1948-1964) from the end of battles in 1948 and putting Gaza Strip under Egyptian administration until the founding of the Palestinian Liberation Organization.

The study aimed at displaying the general features of the political movement in Gaza Strip in terms of its establishment, development and its role in the period referred to.

The study also aims at highlighting the most significant challenges- the subjective and the objective- that the emerging political movement encountered under Egyptian administration in Gaza Strip.

It also aimed at highlighting the attempts of the active forces of the political movement of the Palestinian people in the process of building its nation and identity in the strip by talking about the influential political institutions and parties on the happenings.

The study also dealt with the shift that the political movement faced under the Israeli occupation of Gaza Strip from the second of November 1956 till the seventh of March 1957.

It also dealt with the status of the political movement in Gaza strip during that time till the founding of the Palestinian Liberation Organization in 1964 and then a new stage began to overcome those challenges and how to overcome them, the study showed the state of political polarization in Gaza Strip.
