Emperor Anastasius I (491-518 AD) was highly concerned with prosperity of the Byzantine civilization, whose contributions covered almost all aspects of society.

This reflects his believing in his role as an emperor in the progress of society.

In order to attain his achievements, Anastasius was required to issue a set of laws and decrees, binding in their application and implementation, as well as his wise selection of qualified assistants, who issued a lot of legislatures in all areas of society.

There is no doubt that the contributions of Anastasius I in civilization, impressed historians and researchers alike.

It’s sufficient to mention his role in the financial system reform.

When he began his rule of the empire, the Treasury was on the verge of bankruptcy, but he left it filled with uncountable thousands of pounds of gold.

This is evidence of the desire of the emperor in reform.
