The current research aimed at the development of Islamic education curriculum at the secondary level in the light of the quality standards and was a source of interest in the subject as a result of the pilot study carried out by the researcher results of this research showed the weakness of Islamic education curricula and the importance of comprehensive quality standards in the development of Islamic education curricula.

Significance of study: - Identify the strengths and weaknesses of all the elements of Islamic education curriculum at the secondary level in Palestine.

- Provide a proposal developing the Islamic education curriculum at the secondary level proposed in the light of the quality standards that can be used in the development of Islamic education curricula in other phases.

- The study provides tools including: (content analysis form, achievement test, and a list of quality standards) that may benefit the teachers, researchers and students.

- Benefit teachers and students in the field of teaching Islamic education.

Study recommendations: - In light of the outcome of the research it shows the need to the following recommendations: - Building and national standards for the construction and development of Islamic education curricula in primary and secondary stage.

- Activating the role of means and educational activities in the teaching of Islamic education at the secondary school students.

- The development of Islamic education curricula at the secondary level based on the overall quality standards.
