Abstract EN

The current research aims to detect the effectiveness of using mind maps in the teaching of history for the development of visual thinking through the teaching of the unity of the civilization of ancient Egypt first grade secondary.

To achieve the aim of the research was to prepare the following tools: a reference unit and the student handbook in the light of the mind mapping and visual thinking skills test.

The research found the following results: 1) There is a statistically significant at the level of significance (0.01) between the average degree of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the visual thinking test in favor of the experimental group and thus we can make sure of validity of the first hypothesis.

2) There is a statistically significant at the level of significance (0.01) between the average degree of the experimental group in the pre and post application of visual thinking test in favor of the post application and thus we can make sure of validity of the second hypothesis.

3) There is a statistically significant at the level of significance (0.01) between the average degree of the experimental group students (boys – girls) in the post application of the visual thinking test in favor of girls and thus we can make sure of validity of the third hypothesis.
