The research aimed to discover The effectiveness of program based on negotiation approach in developing the listening skills of first year preparatory Introduction: Listening is on of the most important communication methods with others, There are several misconceptions about listening We have no control over what we hear Listening on the other hand is an active process that constructs meaning from both verbal and nonverbal messages To use the active listening technique to improve interpersonal communication Because of the importance of listening skills and Negotiation skills, we should develop their skills for all learners, especially for preparatory students so we should search for type of learning that may help students to get their skills, Negotiation approach is one of types that may help us to do this, it refers to the process we use to satisfy our needs when someone else controls what we are seeking, one thing is certain about negotiation we each do it every day sometimes we can be negotiating even knowing it.

Problem of the research: This present research try to answer the following main question: What is the extent of program based on negotiation approach for developing listening skills for preparatory students? Tools and measures of the research: l.

List of listening skills for preparatory students.

1- List of negotiation skills for preparatory students.

2- Test for measuring listening skills The important of the research: It is expected for this present research to contribute in the following: 1- Presenting a theoretical farms concerning the listening skills 2- developing listening skills for preparatory students.

3- Providing the teachers with new methods on teaching listening that help them to develop listening skills.

Results of the research: 1- The effectiveness of program based on negotiation approach in developing the overall listening skills as there is statistically significant difference between the overall mean score of the experimental and control group subjects on the past listening skills., in favor of experimental group.

there is statistically significant difference between the overall mean score of experimental group in pre and past listening skills test in favor of the past test.

2- The effectiveness of program based on negotiation approach in developing the each individual listening skills as there is statistically significant difference between the overall mean score of the experimental and control group subjects on the past listening skills in each skill in favor of experimental group.

there is statistically significant difference between the overall mean score of experimental group in pre and past listening skills test in each skill in favor of the past test.
