Abstract EN

This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of an integrative counseling program on developing the cognitive and performance skills of scientific research of the psychological and educational counselor students which help them in writing their graduation researches.

The study aimed at preparing a counseling program, and achievement test and observation form for the skills of psychological and educational research.

The counseling program based on the integrative counseling, a cognitive test and observation form for the skills of psychological and educational research including the following skills: Stating accurate title of the research, Defining the terms of the study, Stating of the research problem and its objectives, Reviewing the previous literature and forming the hypotheses, Writing the methodology of the research, and Citation and references.

The researcher used the semi-experimental method of one group with a pre- post test.

The study was implemented on a sample of (14) students at the psychology department in the college of education who have finished the theoretical courses such as researching methods and psychological tests.

The results of the study showed that; - There were a statistical significant differences in the means ranks of scores of the sample in the pre and post test in cognitive and performance skills of scientific research, in the favor of the post test.

- The counseling program had a great effect on developing the cognitive and performance skills of the scientific research and the value of Eta square was over (0,14).
