Abstract EN

In this paper, we discuss the role of direct foreign investment in industrial competitive advantage by entering the technology factor as a mediator variable.

From a theoretical point of view there are good grounds for believing that direct foreign investment can play an important role in strengthening the industrial competitive advantage in the short, medium and long term.

At this, we will use the method of Path Analysis in order to calculate the impact of direct foreign investment on industrial competitive advantage in Algeria with the presence of technology factor as a mediator variable during the period from 1970 to 2014.

Through of study, we concluded that the technology factor is playing an important mediator role in the enhancement of impact of direct foreign investment, because the latter is the key to the flow of advanced technologies on industrial competitive advantage in Algeria during study period.
