Abstract EN

The aim of the research was to estimate the retailers demand on rice by the impact of some binary variables, through random cluster sample with 622 observations.

The results showed that there was a significant increased at 0.1 and 5% of varieties demand, which was characterized by higher fragmentation price in Damascus province, while it significantly decreased at the level of 0.1 to 5% for the varieties which was characterized by the lower fragmentation price.

The results also showed that the amount of short grain rice was significantly increased compared with long grain rice in Damascus province and its countryside of 47.46 and 32.61 kg .month–1 respectively.

The required quantity of packed rice was increased in the province of Damascus by moral 32.92 kg .month–1 , while decreased in the province of Damascus by moral 38.11 kg .month–1 .
