Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on readers characteristics and their opinions about the Agricultural Magazine issued by Directorate of Agricultural Extension - Ministry of Agriculture &Agrarian Reform.

A sample of 110 readers in governorates of Damascus, Latakia and Hama was randomly selected, data were represented in the form of frequencies and percentages.

The study showed that majority of the magazine readers were male-middle aged readers, with university degrees in agronomy, working in the directorates of agriculture and sometimes they read the magazine editions, which was not available periodically for them.

Analyzing data revealed that, "Cover page ,news, subject matters, methods of writing, printing process and illustrations were good as per readers point of view.

Reader have expressed their wishes to increase the coverage of some subjects like plant protection and agricultural production by the magazine.

Readers also suggested to increase the diversity of subjects to publish more issues annually on the suitable time
