Abstract EN

This study focuses on the theme of pedagogy of citizenship according to teachers by analyzing data obtained from the field study in primary schools in Wilaya of Tlemcen, to determine their point of view.

The study hypothesis was tested in three dimensions to view this pedagogy, namely: course preparation, teaching strategies and educational assessment.

The results led to deduct that the prevailing teaching of citizenship in our schools rely heavily on just a transfer of knowledge about social political and civic life.

Since the teachers are supported in their preparation on the manual, and indoctrinate this knowledge and then to be reviewed in various tests.

This is what hinders the school to reach the expected competence of citizenship behavior.
